Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is a great book, its so easy to immerse yourself in the story. Harry does not know he is a wizard until his eleventh birthday. Luckily Hagrid appears and informs Harry about his powers.
Harry has been accepted to Hogwarts, a school that educates wizards and witches on how to use their abilities. The villain in the story is Voldemort who was almost destroyed attempting to kill Harry when he was a baby. Harrys parents were killed during this battle and he was living with his aunt and uncle.
Voldemort is trying to return to power with a stone that gives wizards and witches immortality. This stone has been hid inside Hogwarts and protected by different spells that teachers at Hogwarts have created. Harry discovers that one of the teachers has been helping Voldemort.
Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione work together to prevent Voldemort from stealing the Sorcerer̢۪s stone. They run into obstacles including a plant that attempts to choke them, a bigger than life chess set that Ron is able to conquer and a flying key that must be caught by Harry himself. Last is a tricky potion riddle that Hermione is able to solve.
When I am not reading I watch my satellite TV from Direc4U.com, I enjoy unwinding with shows I have recorded on my DVR.
