Towels Make A Great Gift

Did you know the things that people don't get for themselves end up being the ideal gift to give someone. I'm not talking about getting them a new phone or tv or something expensive. Sometimes the things that people find the most thoughtful are the things that are simple. So simple that these are the things we neglect getting for ourselves. Simple things like the latest issue of a magazine we've always been wanting to get but never do, or a dvd of a movie we've always wanted to see, new socks! Even fluffy new Waterworks towels can be something that brings a smile to the one you love.

Bath linens are always something we take for granted and sometimes is the last things on most peoples priority lists. I mean, we'd rather spend the money on a nice dinner out or to see the latest movie to hit the big screens, but bath linens?! That is why bath towels, wash clothes, and kitchen towels can make a great gift! Simple, yet effective and the best part is, its not expensive for those on a budget. So remember, better, does not always mean more expensive! Be practical, you may be amazed by the results.

Flower Delivery

Sometimes we have the perfect gift for someone but it's just sad that we can't give it to them in person.  It has a different feel when you hand over the gift yourself, it seems to have more meaning and thought to it.  This shouldn't discourage you though, it is not just the presence which gives a whole lot meaning to a present but the thought that you remember them.

This coming mother's day for sure everybody will be cramming to give presents to their special someone.  For those who will have to use delivery options it is best to consider timing, making sure that your gift will come right on time.  To make things easier and a lot more convenient, you may opt for flowers to be delivered on that special day.

There are many flower shops everywhere but for you to go through the process of going there, picking the blooms and delivering it yourself, you can simplify the process through flower delivery service.  They can take care much of the hassle for you most especially if it's a long distance thing.  Surely your gift will be as splendid like if you were to bring it yourself.

BAKELITE LIZ

Guest post of the week by Deangelo Spencer

I love to collect any and all things Bakelite. I started getting interested in the accessory making medium of the past when I was a little girl and my grandmother had a lot of Bakelite that she would let me play with. I would dress up in jewelry and carry my Bakelite clutch everywhere I went. I started collecting it almost ten years ago. Now, I collect and sell on-line using my syracuse clear wireless internet connection. I have an eBay store. I have dubbed it “BAKELITE LIZ”. I actually sell quite a few things every month. So much, that I have been able to quit my full-time job and work part-time selling things on eBay that I love to collect. It doesn’t really feel like I job because I absolutely love what I am doing. I am interested in everything that I sell and collect, so looking up the history on the items doesn’t feel like hard work. Sometimes, I find myself reading for hours. I have to say that I am very satisfied that my passion has become my profession.

Hand Made Invitations

There are times when the best gift to give is something that comes even before the event itself.  Does it sound confusing?  Well I am talking about invitations.  Of course invitations come before the actual event, handed out to guests for earlier announcement purposes.  What makes it ideal is that you get to help the hosts get this out of their list and use their budget allotted for something else.

I remember that time when I made my mom and dad's wedding invitation when they were renewing their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary.  Same thing with my grandma,  also made their invitations as a present.  They were so happy with the personal touch and uniqueness of the invitations I made.  Not only that they saved a lot from having it ordered somewhere else, hey didn't have to worry about it anymore.

For a person who values sentimentality, giving them something hand made will be very meaningful.  It's like an ultimate gift, nothing can beat the thought and effort you put in creating those precious items.  It may require more time finishing everything but in the end the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment is irreplaceable.  While many people might say it's way too impractical to do it yourself since you can easily order everything online, it doesn't really matter as long as you want and love what you are doing.

There are many kinds of invitations and this is not restrictly for weddings alone.  Birthdays, showers, graduations and other parties will always need an invitation or two.  Be creative and express yourself, you have more control when you do it your way.  You must never be restricted with the conventional designs you see everywhere, that's the magic of having it crafted by your own hands.  Don't worry about the imperfections because it is the imperfections that give much character to it.

VINTAGE HAMILTON

Thanks to Darwin Barton

I am a big time Ebay. I use Ebay anytime that I can. You can usually find everything that you need for half of the price. Sometimes people get frustrated with Ebay because you do have to spend time looking through the auctions, but I really enjoy getting a deal and looking for a deal. I have been using my clear wireless internet to search eBay for the perfect Vintage Hamilton watch for my husband. He collects the watches and I really like them. I like anything vintage. I was reading through an antique book and saw the Hamilton Doctor’s Watch. It has two faces, one with a clock and one with a timer. They were produced from 1931 until 1949. Ebay is really the best place to find one. The other day after months of searching, I came across one in nearly perfect condition. It even had a buy it now price and a good rate. I immediately bought it. I was perfect when it came in the mail. I just can’t wait until my husband’s birthday so that I can surprise him with it. I think that he is really going to love it.

A Birthday and a Ring

Guest post written by my buddy Keith Kramer

I was having trouble trying to find the perfect gift for my boyfriend of 3 years. We usually don’t spend that much money on each other, but I wanted this birthday to be special. I found a great deal on a MAC, and also ordered him clear wireless internet Baltimore. I had his computer and high-speed internet connection set up and put in his room. I thought that I was giving him the surprise of his life, but when I went over to his house to see if he had gotten his computer, he had the house filled with candles! He proposed to me on his birthday! He hadn’t even seen the computer yet, but he was thrilled to death for two things that day- his new computer- and also the fact that I said yes! I guess I kind of got myself a new computer and internet connection today—and also a great big ring! I’m not sure how I got all of the presents on his birthday, but I couldn’t be more excited!

Boss is Tough

Contribution by Stevie Kirby

My boss has been riding me hard lately and with the economy the way it is I want to make sure I’m getting everything done I’m supposed to. He asked me to do some research on business solutions and I found a good package (more info here on that) and that seemed to please him but it seems like every day I don’t stay late (like, until 7 or 8 late) he gives me a disapproving look. I love him to death as a boss but ever since the pressure got worse for us to keep the business afloat he’s been being a little more overbearing. There’s a lot of hardship in the business world right now and I know we’re going to make it if we keep working together as a team so I’m going to do everything I can do to be a model employee. I think there’s something to be said for being a good assistant but my job description seems to be expanding week over week because of the cutbacks!
