Housewarming Gifts

Not everybody's lucky enough to get their condo, townhouse or house already furnished. Furniture pieces alone can cost big money to starters but there's no other choice but to purchase it after all. How about giving it as a housewarming gift? Not a bad idea right? Rather than giving a little it of this and that why not collaborate with friends or relatives to come up with a bigger item. This way what's more needed is what you give and you even end up helping them out with their home furnishing.

Usually the interiors get covered first with the purchases and the exterior's left bare thinking they'll have it done later on. Think about the patio, deck or the yard, wouldn't it be nice to have a nice patio set with some Adirondack chairs for some outdoor relaxation? You don't need to go extreme like get them picnic tables and park benches because it's just for home use and nothing extra ordinary. Minor site furnishings can be a good addition to their lawn where people can stay there and socialize on occasions.

Post Break: Furniture shopping fun

I am in the process of looking new living room furniture. The reason being is that I plan on purchasing a home next spring or summer. If I can afford it now, I rather get the living room furniture now and then when it comes time to move, I will have something nice and comfortable to sit on at the new house. I will be looking for a couch that has a sleeper. I like to have that because I have family out of town. It would be nice to have a place for my family to sleep if they choose to stay over.

I like to find something in a darker color due to the fact that I have a dog that sheds a lot. Having darker living room furniture will not show any of the hair that will shed from the dog. I am looking for something in my price range of no more than $1100. However, if I find something that I like that cost a bit more, I will simply try and set up a payment plan. But I think that the best thing that will happen is when I go home and sit down and watch some direct tv, envisioning how it will be on my new furniture.

Door Curtain

I'm personally looking for a door curtain, haven't seen 1 yet since I came here in my place. Our apartment is just a 1-bdrm unit with t&b, living and dining areas. Whenever we have visitors over and they need to use bathroom, they have to go in the bedroom to access it. No privacy at all! These door curtains somehow conceal and leave a bit of privacy to spaces. It's nice to have it most especially for those who have conjoined function spaces. Many designs available like beads, bamboo, shells and other materials. Anyone of you guys who knows where to find this, feel free to leave a comment or note here. Thanks!
